New week, new "weight loss and diet tips" for you to enjoy! This is the final issue of our "Diet Tips" serie -- and this time includes 32 dieting suggestions instead of the "usual" 12.

Missed last week's first 12 tips? Here's an handy link to quickly get back to them. Feedback and comments as always welcome!

49. Take a Day Off from Dieting - This will keep your metabolism constantly on the move. Dieters tend to fall into a plateau when their metabolism figures out the body is on a diet. The occasional higher calorie intake will kick your metabolism into overdrive.

50. Break down your workouts into small increments of time. A 30 minute workout isn’t much compared to a 24 hour day. Within one 30 minute show you could have completed a workout and burned calories. When you think of workouts as small amounts of time compared to the amount of time in a full day…. It doesn’t seem like much time.

51. Add Milk to your Diet - It is said that adding low fat dairy products to our daily diet could aid in weight loss. The protein in milk helps us feel fuller longer. This is due to the fact that proteins take longer to digest. Just make sure the dairy products are the low fat variety. It is the protein your body needs not the higher fat count. So, look for low fat milk and cheeses.

52. Don’t eat past a certain time at night. I would suggest that you stop eating at least 3 hours before bed. Your body burns less calories at night while sleeping than while it is moving around during the day. So, it makes sense to pick a time in the evening to stop eating.

53. Pick up some new cook books with revisions on your favorite recipes. That way you can enjoy your favorite meals revised a bit.

54. Keep your pantry stocked with plenty of pre-packaged snacks. These are perfect for when you are hungry for a quick snack, but don’t have the time to prepare something. Granola bars, individual serving size cereal boxes, and raisin boxes are great. You will have a quick snack to grab and you will always know the nutritional value of what you are eating.

55. Keep snacks everywhere you spend a lot of time - Keep extra snacks in your car, office, and where ever else you spend a lot of time. This way it will decrease your chances of slip-ups.

56. Order Children’s Servings at restaurants. - Okay, this one might sound silly, but it is a great idea for those of you who love fattening items at restaurants. If you love greasy burgers or chicken fingers and fries, but you know the amount of calories and salt in these foods.... get them every once and a while. But when you order them make sure to get the children's size. This way you will not be depriving yourself of things you enjoy, but you will be saving a considerable amount of calories and salt.

57. Brush your teeth early before bed - Do not eat past a certain time at nigh. When that time at night arrives make sure to brush your teeth. Who wants to eat after their teeth have been brushed?

58. Eat Veggies before the rest of the meal - Vegetables have tons of fibers and they aid in filling you up faster. Plus, the fiber keeps you feeling fuller longer. So, start with them and then once you are finished with your veggies move to the rest of the meal. This way when you are satisfied you might have stopped eating before finishing the higher calorie items on your plate.

59. Chew Gum - Sometimes we just need to be doing something with our mouth. Maybe we aren’t even hungry, but just want to something. Chew on a sugar free piece of gum and see if this does the trick and curb your appetite..

60. Make the big meal of the day be breakfast and each meal after let it be smaller. You will have more time during the day to burn off your breakfast. This isn't a new concept. It is something actually that some people have been living by for years. The saying is, "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper." Having the biggest meal of the day early on gives you plenty of time to burn off the bigger meals.

61. Fill your plate with half fruit / veggies before anything else when you are making your meal - The reasoning for this is that you will have less room for the more fattening or high caloric items. Fill up on the high fiber low caloric things first.

62. Eat half and bag the rest - This is another restaurant tip. If you are eating out and don’t know the calories of a meal or can’t find something on the healthy side?…. then eat half the meal and bag the rest. Or share the meal with somebody else. Another really cool restaurant tip is to eat an appetizer.

63. If you are at a Party.... Eat!! - Just eat the low calorie food first and move to the next highest caloric food and the next…. That way if you get full you will stop before eating all of the higher calorie items.

64. Switch from whole milk to 1% or skim milk. You will get all the protein of higher calorie milk, but without all the fat. It is a simple switch, but it can make a huge difference in you reaching your weight loss goals.

65. Use condiments without fat. Stay away from Mayonnaise…. Use Mustard instead.

66. If you are attending a buffet choose 3 or 4 things that you will eat from it - Do not eat a “little of everything” you’ll land up eating a ton of calories.

67. Give away the Party Left-overs - Having a party?…. awesome!! Just make sure to give away the left-overs as guests are leaving. You don't want to be left with all that rich party food in your home. That is just bad news waiting to happen.

70. Enjoy some Puzzles - Do you snack late at night? Maybe you just need something to do with your hands? Try puzzles. Keeps your hands and mind busy.... and away from food.

71. Do not eat too little calories. People have a tendency to think that if a weight loss programs says they need to eat 1500 calories to lose weight they think that if they eat less than that they will lose more weight or lose weight at a quicker pace. This so just not true!! Your metabolism is very smart…. It will think you are starving and compensate by slowing your metabolism down and causing you to not lose weight any quicker. It might even completely back fire and stop you from losing weight at all.

72. Exercise Burns Calories - Be aware of how much calories exercise burns. This will be beneficial for you to keep track of so that you know how many calories you burn a day or per week. You should work out at least 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes each day. But, each exercise burns a different amount of calories. Having the right calories burned calculator will help you with this. It is a wonderful tool to aid in your weight loss program. And, there are many weight loss tool that combine all of these tools into one device.

73. Ultimate Weight Loss Tools at your Fingertips - . Let's face it.... diet and fitness is difficult. Knowing how much calories items are, how many calories a person should consume in a day, and how much calories certain exercises burn off is nearly impossible without the right tools. So, make sure you have diet software with all the right weight loss and fitness tools.... preferably diet software that can move with you, such as a Diet Software for PDA or a Diet Software for Smartphone. With either of these weight loss items you will be all set to reach your weight loss goals quickly and safely.

New week, new "weight loss and diet tips" for you to enjoy.

Missed last week's first 12 tips? Here's an handy link to quickly get back to them. Feedback and comments as always welcome!

37. Never Crash diet to Lose Weight - Crash diets just don't work for the long haul.... unless if you mean "crash and burn". The thing about crash diets is that maybe you will lose the weight, but the minute you go off of them the pounds come back. The reason for this is because usually with a crash diet you are doing something extreme that you couldn't possible keep up with for a lifetime. And, like we mentioned before, we are trying to make a lifestyle change. So, please.... walk away from the crash diets.

38. Instead of eliminating food… substitute them. Eliminating the foods you enjoy can be disastrous. Especially when you want this to be a lifestyle change. If you love meatloaf, but you know that it is high in fat and calories don't eliminate it from you diet, but instead make substitutions. Make alterations to the foods or recipes to keep your favorite foods in your diet.

39. Instead of drinking fruit juice…. Eat a piece of fruit. - This tip saves on sugar and we must admit that eating something is much more satisfying than drinking it. There is a lot of extra calories and sugar in fruit juice. Our suggestion.... stay away from it.

40. Gradual changes are more permanent - We know when you have made a commitment and decide to lose weight you want it now.... all of it. You want to dive right into the diet, eat the right foods, start a new exercise program and see results. But, the truth is that weight loss is a lot of work. And, it is a lot of change that need to be made. Sometimes, gradual changes is the key. You don't need to change everything at once and totally shock your system. For some people changing one thing at the time is key.

41. Stop eating when you are satisfied not when you are full or stuffed. - For some this tip is a difficult one to grasp. After all, is there a difference? What is the difference between satisfied and full? For one thing, being satisfied is usually the feeling you get before reaching full. Full, is the feeling you get when you can't eat another bit. Full can even be the discomfort you feel when you stuffed yourself. Satisfied is that you ate enough to carry you until you next meal or snack. Secondly, the difference between eating until you satisfied and eating until you full could mean the difference between loosing the weight and not losing the weight. Remember, we are supposed to be eating to live.... not living to eat.

42. Be in it for the long term…. Think lifestyle change not diet.

43. Eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. - Fruit and vegetables have a lot of fiber in it. And, as we mentioned before fiber stays in your system longer and makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time. This is what you want... plus, eating your fruits and veggies has so many other health benefits as well.

44. Do not Skip Meals - You might think that if you skip a meal here and there it would be a perfect method of losing weight. After all, you would be saving on a full meal's calories. This is a common misconception. Skipping meals will be sabotaging your weight loss goals. First thing in the morning your metabolism needs a kick start. In order to kick start your metabolism you need to feed it. Until your metabolism as its first bite of food you will not start burning calories. So, eat your breakfast.... it is a must to lose weight.

45. Go for fresh food when possible. Less Chemicals and Salt. Fresh food has a lot less salt and chemicals that the packaged food does. We know that sometimes packaged food is easier... especially when you are on the run. But, if you have the chance eat fresh food.... it is better for you and the scale.

46. Start right away….. no Procrastinating. Stop procrastinating and just do it. All you need is the right Weight Loss Tools and you will be all set. We know change is scary, but change can also be the best thing that has every happened to you. Instead of thinking of change as scary think of it as exciting.

47. Restaurant Meal Planning - If you are planning a night out and are going to be going to a restaurant plan what you are going to eat ahead of time. Many restaurants have nutritional information of their meals online. If they do check out the nutritional information of the meal you are going to order before going to the restaurant. If that is not possible ask your waiter/waitress when you arrive at the restaurant if they have their food's nutritional information available. This will make it easier to stick to your diet away from home and still be able to eat out.

48. Buy some new clothes - Who wants to gain even a few pounds back when you have purchased new clothes. Purchase a pair of jeans one size less than the size you are right now. It will keep you motivated to lose some weight to get into these new pair of jeans. Plus, if you don't like to take measurements of your body weekly (this can be difficult to do on your own) put on these jeans weekly so that you can see how your weight loss is changing your body. But, please don't buy a pair of jeans more than 1 size below where you are now. Remember, as I mentioned higher up in this list small goal increments work best. If you set a goal that is very far away it is sometimes difficult to see how close you are getting to reaching it. However, if the goals are smaller (like, one jean size) than it is easier to see how well you are doing at achieving your goals.

Stay tuned for another 12 tips coming up a week from now!

And also this week, here you go with a new issue or our "weight loss and diet tips" series.

Missed last week's first 12 tips? Here's an handy link to quickly get back to them. Feedback and comments as always welcome!

25. Don’t give up all fat. Some fat is good for you. - Not all fat is bad for you. And, you can't completely take fat out of your diet because it would be a completely unhealthy thing to do. Fats helps nutrient absorption, nerve transmission, maintaining cell membrane integrity and so much more. Read up on Good Fats vs Bad Fats to get all your answers on this.

26. Do not let yourself get bored. Change it up a bit. - If you get bored then you have a higher chance at giving up on your diet. There is no reason for you to get bored. If you have been eating the same food because you know they have been working then change it up a bit. Find other foods you enjoy. If it is the exercise that is boring you start a new fitness regimen... just don't allow yourself to get bored.

27. Know your daily calorie limit - What is the amount of calories you can have in a day and still lose weight? There are many weight loss tools to help you figure this amount out. And, I would highly recommend using one of them. Otherwise if you are just guessing the calories you are eating... chances are you are underestimating.

28. Fiber is good…. And so important. Fiber helps us feel full sooner and stays in our stomach longer. Not to mention that adding fiber to our diet has so many other health benefits.

29. Walk when you can… it burns calories. It doesn't sound like much, but make sure you walk when you have a choice. Another words, when you have a choice to take an elevator upstairs or to walk.... chose walk. When you have a parking spot closer to entrance doors or park in a spot further down the parking lot.... park in the further away spot. Just adding a bit of walking to your daily duties can add quite a bit more calories being burned and pounds coming off.

30. Don’t completely deny yourself - If there is a special food that you love do not deny yourself of it. Add it to your diet. It can even by a fattening item.... you still need to add it. It is common knowledge that by denying yourself something you love in order to achieve a goal does not work. It might work for a bit of time, but at some time you will want this item. And, if you feel that you are being deprived of having it then you will one day lose control and binge on it. But, if you allow yourself some of your special food once and a while you won't feel deprived at all. You could even have a special day every week that you will have this special food item. That way you even have something to look forward to.

31. Water - Drink plenty of water. This tip is such an easy one to follow, but it is the one that most people have trouble with. Water is a natural appetite suppressant. You should drink around 6 - 8 glasses of water a day. This might sound like a lot of water, but it really isn't much at all. The 6- 8 glasses of water should be spread throughout the day.

32. Get rid of the White Food - Replace white bread with whole wheat; white rice with brown rice; regular pasta with whole wheat pasta, etc…

33. Food journal - Using a Food Journal is great because you will be able to easily see where you might be screwing up in your diet. This isn't necessarily the same as a calorie diary. Because in a calorie diary some might just simply keep track of calories and not necesarily be writing in their food. With a food diary you are more concerned about writing each item you place in your mouth in the journal. A food journal is also great low carb, low sugar or other type of diets.

34. Focus on being healthy not thin - For some the word Diet is a bad word. It signifies to them deprivation. Even though this doesn't have to be the case.... as I spoke above. You should not be depriving yourself.... the word Diet still kind of gives people a bad taste in their mouth. So, if you think of this has a lifestyle change and that you just want to become healthy you might have an easier time as seeing this as a change of lifestyle and not a get thin tactic.

35. Find out why you overeat - This might seem a bit deep, but we promise you... it can make a huge difference in reaching your weight loss goals. When you overeat or feel the need to overeat instead of performing the deed..... try and think about why this might be. Are you feeding your emotions or your stomach? Are you hungry or emotionally hungry? There is a difference and learning the difference can help you get to your weight loss goals and stay there.

36. Portion control - The key to a healthy diet and weight management is portion control. The concept is easy: if you eat less, you consume fewer calories.

Stay tuned for the next 12 tips coming up in 7 days!

Feedback and comments as always welcome!

13. Weight loss buddy - Having a weight loss buddy can be such an amazing help when it comes to your weight loss. Especially if you and your buddy are a bit competitive in nature anyway. Set a goal and see which one of you reach the goal first.

14. Women are not the same as a man - If you are married one of the best ways to lose weight is to lose weight as a couple. Just like in the Weight Loss Buddy tip above you and your spouse could challenge each other.

But, keep in mind, that weight loss between a man and a woman is entirely different. Women have a tendency to lose weight at a much slower pace. And, this can be frustrating for the wife when the husband is losing weight quite rapidly. Check out Gender differences in Weight Loss for more information.

15. There is no magic pill…. Get Over IT!! - Once you get over the fact that there is no easy way to lose weight and no magic pill you can take you will be much better off. There are so many advertisements in magazines, TV, and online for Weight Loss Pill that do magic and make you lose weight quickly.... but they are lies. They don't work. Accept this fact and move on.

16. Chart your Weight Loss - Charts are fun and they can be a huge motivator when you look at your progress in different colors. Not only are they great to look at at the end of your diet journey, but they can keep you motivated during the journey as well.

17. Find out your ideal weight - It is very easy for someone wanting to lose weight to set a weight loss goal for a weight that they use to be at.... say, when they were in College. But, maybe trying to get down to a weight you were at when you were 21 years old is not an ideal weight for a person in their 40's.

Use a Health Calculator to find your ideal weight. These calculators will look at your BMI to come up with your ideal weight.

18. Go fast food if you want to…. Just have a plan - I know that most thing that you read about losing weight tells you to stay far away from Fast Food. And, with good reason.... any fast food is high in calories, fat and salt. However, I also know that staying away from Fast Food in this day and age is easier said then done. With that said, here is a guide to the best foods at Fast Foods to help you pick the best choices.

19. Have a good scale - If you are planning on losing weight you need an accurate scale. If you have a little extra money to spend on a digital one I say, "Go for it!!". The reason I say this is that the digital scales usually give the weight to the smallest tenth. When you are first beginning to lose weight the tenths might not matter so much. But, when you weight loss begins to slow its nice to know when you are losing a part of a pound.... keeps you motivated when things get slower as you get closer to reaching your goal weight.

20. 1-2 pound a week weight loss…. Don’t try for more - The slower the weight comes off the longer and better chance of it staying off. If you are losing too much weight too fast it is probably coming from water weight or you are cutting too many calories. So, the minute you go back to a more normal calorie count the pounds will pack back on. However, if you don't lose more than a pound or two a week (normal range of weight loss) the chances of the pounds staying off is a much, much better chance.

21. Fat weighs less than muscle, but they are very different!! When you begin adding a work-out to your weight loss regimen you might be disappointed to see that the scale stopped moving down as quickly or not at all. But, don't be too discouraged. The reason that this sometimes happens is that muscle weighs more than fat. So, when you start exercising and your fat begins changing to muscle you might notice a slowing down of weight loss. But, you will notice that you are losing body inches. Muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle takes up less room than fat. So, really the scale at this point should not matter too much. Go by how your clothes fit on your body. This is just temporary... the scale will begin dropping again. Keep up the dieting and exercising.... you are going in the right direction.

22. Get your beauty rest - Getting plenty of rest while can be helpful in trying to achieve your weight loss goals. An increase in cortisol as a result of sleep deprivation could promote increased fat storage. So, get plenty of Beauty Sleep!!

23. Enjoy each bite of food…. Do not scarf it down. Enjoy it. - It's true. By setting down your fork or spoon every time you place food in your mouth and chewing each bit to its fullest you could be eating less calories... A lot less calories. It is thought that it could be around 20 pounds less food in a year. The reason for this is that it takes your brain 15 minutes to figure out it is full. So, by eating slower you are giving your brain enough time to figure out your full before you are completely stuffed.

24. You shouldn’t feel deprived. Snack on food. Carry snacks with you. - Feeling deprived is a horrible feeling. And, when you are feeling deprived you tend to make some terrible choices. So, to make sure this doesn't happen when you are feeling hungry make sure to carry some healthy snacks with you. Snacking is not bad at all. I have two snacks a day. It is the choices of snacks you have to watch out for. That's why you should always make sure you have a snack on you, in the office and in the car in case you are in need of something fast.

Following up to the article where we introduced the approach we follow when it comes to enhancing the software products we love -- such as Agendus and Health & Diet Manager -- this is the first installment of 6 weekly issues containing 10 to 12 health & fitness related tips.

We hope you'll enjoy reading them, and perhaps find some helpful suggestion or item onto which to act upon. Feedback as always welcome!

1. Develop a Routine and Be organized - Being organized might sound like a silly way to lose weight, but we promise you that is not the case. Having a plan for any goal takes organization. And, weight loss is no exception. It has been found that the more organized and more planning in their diet the higher their chances of successful weight loss. So, come up with a weight loss plan and put it in writing to always keep you on your toes. Or better yet, use a Diet Software. That way the Diet Software helps you with the planning. Even offering you the weight Loss tools you need.

2. Make Exercise a Regular part of Life - This is one of the parts of creating a healthy lifestyle that people really hate. And, it shouldn't be like that. We have found a really cool way to add fitness to your new healthy lifestyle without it being awful at all. It might take a bit of thinking about it will be worth it. Think back to when you were a child or teenager... what did you enjoy doing as far as exercise? Did you use to play tennis? Did you use to take dancing lessons? Was jogging your thing? As a child you did things because the activities were fun.

In order to make exercise a regular part of your life without it being so painful you need to discover exercise that will make you happy. That way you will be happy doing something good for you.

3. Set Goals and Keep Track of your Progress - Before starting any diet or weight loss program make sure you have clearly set your goals and plans for your diet. Using weight loss tools helps figure out how many calories you will be eating every day. Make sure to track your progress through out your diet. Tracking your progress will help keep you focused. Most Diet Software has plenty of tools to track your progress.

4. Stick to the Program - After you decide on a diet give it a chance. Some diets take a bit before the weight starts coming off. Don't give up. Follow the weight loss program's rules and stick to it. If after a month you are discouraged with it try a new one. But at least give it a month to begin seeing a difference in your body.

5. Accept the Occasional Diet Slip-ups - When you are on a diet it is inevitable that at one point or the other you will make a mistake and fall off your weight loss wagon. The trick is to not give up and throw your entire diet plan off wack. You need to get up and brush yourself off and get back to your diet plans. One slip-up will not ruin an entire diet, but a person deciding their slip-up has messed up their entire diet can.

6. Small Rewards - Make sure to give yourself rewards when you reach your goals. Our preference is to set a bunch of smaller goals leading up to your larger goals. As you reach all of these smaller goals give yourself a reward. Doing this will boost your energy for the next goal to be reached. For example a new outfit after you lose the first 10 pounds. Think how wonderful you will look and feel in your new set of clothes.

7. Support - Support in your diet can help you stay on track. If you don't have support around you at home you can find weight loss buddies online. Even if you have a weight loss slip your weight loss buddies can help you get back on track again.

8. Before and After Picture - Taking a picture of what you looked like prior to weight loss can keep you focused on how far you've come and keep you more focused on the direction you want to go. Take a new picture every month of your weight loss travels. Once you have reached your weight loss goals take a look at the pictures and look at your accomplishments.

9. Nutritional Labels - Learning to read nutritional labels can help you significantly in your weight loss journey. Knowing what the labels mean will tell you exactly what is in the food you are about to eat and what that will mean for your diet.

10. Tell Friends & Family - It is important to make sure to tell your friends and family about your weight loss goals. The reasons are because 1) They will know to be careful when offering you food or when having you over for a meal; 2) Because once you announcement your goals you can't change your mind without them knowing. You will hate having to explain why you are no longer trying to lose weight.... chances are greater you will stick to your weight loss goals.

11. Avoid trans fat - Trans fat gives the fat longer shelf life, so it's convenient for restaurants and food manufacturers. But, the body treats hydrogenated fat more like saturated fat, like butter or animal fat. Saturated fat has long been known to clog arteries -- and some studies indicate trans fat may be a bit more evil. So, it is best to stay as far away from trans fat as possible.

12. Set realistic goals - You need to set realistic goals for your weight loss or you will be sabotaging your diet before you even begin. You can't expect to lose 50 pounds if you are only 25 pounds over weight. Use Weight Loss Tools to figure out how much weight is a practical amount to lose.

A question that has been asked a lot, and even more so since we started releasing applications for BlackBerry, is along the lines of "Are you considering creating Agendus for BlackBerry, and if yes when will it be available?"

Time to clear up doubts -- therefore yes, development of a BlackBerry version of our award-winning, fully integrated, personal information manager Agendus is underway. We are on target to launch it on July 15.

As with all our Agendus incarnations, the BlackBerry version will interconnect meetings, tasks and contacts. Plus it’ll be easy-to-use and "ready-to-go, out-of-the-box." just as we like all our titles to be.

Version 1.0 will carry a rather large number of Views (including Today View, Contact, Calendar and Task views), Over-the-Air (OTA) capability, Contact History, and more.

We are building it with extensibility in mind, in order to be able to embed additional features and enhance current ones, based on the feedback we'll receive from users. We plan on using the same approach that we’ve used with most of our titles: keeping a closed loop where direct user feedback is incorporated into future features being developed.

All this being said, if you own a BlackBerry phone and feel strongly about features and functionalities you’d like to see woven into Agendus for BlackBerry, please let us know. You don't have to wait till July 15. Just head over to our forums, where we have a brand new section dedicated to Agendus for BlackBerry.

Also, if you’d like a heads-up on when it is released (including when the Beta version is available), all you have to do is subscribe to our BlackBerry release notification mailing list.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. And, as always, please feel free to send in your feedback and suggestions!
