Following up to the article where we introduced the approach we follow when it comes to enhancing the software products we love -- such as Agendus and Health & Diet Manager -- this is the first installment of 6 weekly issues containing 10 to 12 health & fitness related tips.

1. Develop a Routine and Be organized - Being organized might sound like a silly way to lose weight, but we promise you that is not the case. Having a plan for any goal takes organization. And, weight loss is no exception. It has been found that the more organized and more planning in their diet the higher their chances of successful weight loss. So, come up with a weight loss plan and put it in writing to always keep you on your toes. Or better yet, use a Diet Software. That way the Diet Software helps you with the planning. Even offering you the weight Loss tools you need.

And, it shouldn't be like that. We have found a really cool way to add fitness to your new healthy lifestyle without it being awful at all. It might take a bit of thinking about it will be worth it. Think back to when you were a child or teenager... what did you enjoy doing as far as exercise? Did you use to play tennis? Did you use to take dancing lessons? Was jogging your thing? As a child you did things because the activities were fun.

In order to make exercise a regular part of your life without it being so painful you need to discover exercise that will make you happy. That way you will be happy doing something good for you.

3. Set Goals and Keep Track of your Progress - Before starting any diet or weight loss program make sure you have clearly set your goals and plans for your diet. Using weight loss tools helps figure out how many calories you will be eating every day. Make sure to track your progress through out your diet. Tracking your progress will help keep you focused. Most Diet Software has plenty of tools to track your progress.

4. Stick to the Program - After you decide on a diet give it a chance. Some diets take a bit before the weight starts coming off. Don't give up. Follow the weight loss program's rules and stick to it. If after a month you are discouraged with it try a new one. But at least give it a month to begin seeing a difference in your body.

5. Accept the Occasional Diet Slip-ups - When you are on a diet it is inevitable that at one point or the other you will make a mistake and fall off your weight loss wagon. The trick is to not give up and throw your entire diet plan off wack. You need to get up and brush yourself off and get back to your diet plans. One slip-up will not ruin an entire diet, but a person deciding their slip-up has messed up their entire diet can.

6. Small Rewards - Make sure to give yourself rewards when you reach your goals. Our preference is to set a bunch of smaller goals leading up to your larger goals. As you reach all of these smaller goals give yourself a reward. Doing this will boost your energy for the next goal to be reached. For example a new outfit after you lose the first 10 pounds. Think how wonderful you will look and feel in your new set of clothes.

7. Support - Support in your diet can help you stay on track. If you don't have support around you at home you can find weight loss buddies online. Even if you have a weight loss slip your weight loss buddies can help you get back on track again.

8. Before and After Picture - Taking a picture of what you looked like prior to weight loss can keep you focused on how far you've come and keep you more focused on the direction you want to go. Take a new picture every month of your weight loss travels. Once you have reached your weight loss goals take a look at the pictures and look at your accomplishments.

9. Nutritional Labels - Learning to read nutritional labels can help you significantly in your weight loss journey. Knowing what the labels mean will tell you exactly what is in the food you are about to eat and what that will mean for your diet.

10. Tell Friends & Family - It is important to make sure to tell your friends and family about your weight loss goals. The reasons are because 1) They will know to be careful when offering you food or when having you over for a meal; 2) Because once you announcement your goals you can't change your mind without them knowing. You will hate having to explain why you are no longer trying to lose weight.... chances are greater you will stick to your weight loss goals.

11. Avoid trans fat - Trans fat gives the fat longer shelf life, so it's convenient for restaurants and food manufacturers. But, the body treats hydrogenated fat more like saturated fat, like butter or animal fat. Saturated fat has long been known to clog arteries -- and some studies indicate trans fat may be a bit more evil. So, it is best to stay as far away from trans fat as possible.

12. Set realistic goals - You need to set realistic goals for your weight loss or you will be sabotaging your diet before you even begin. You can't expect to lose 50 pounds if you are only 25 pounds over weight. Use Weight Loss Tools to figure out how much weight is a practical amount to lose.
