RIM-logo.gifOur friends at Geek.com report that Research In Motion, manufacturer of the BlackBerry device, and Yahoo! announced a new expanded partnership to bring Yahoo! services to the BlackBerry. Under the partnership the two companies will work together to introduce Yahoo! Go for Mobile to the BlackBerry. Yahoo! Go for Mobile will allow BlackBerry users to access the "full range" of Yahoo!'s products with the single click of an icon.
The partnership will include enhanced integration of Yahoo! Mail accounts for BlackBerry users, including enhanced real-time delivery of e-mail messages to their handhelds from their Yahoo! Mail account, in addition to enhanced wireless synchronization of sent and deleted items and read/unread message status. The ability for BlackBerry users to wirelessly import, modify, and synchronize their Yahoo! Address Book and Yahoo! Calendar will also be a goal of future development. RIM and Yahoo! will also look to bring Yahoo! Messenger to the BlackBerry, in addition to making Yahoo! Search available through one-click on the BlackBerry main screen.
