Time to Ditch Your Land Line?

Comcast came after me the other day—offering a phone service/broadband package along with the digital cable services that I’m already receiving. I’ll admit, it was tempting, especially since I pretty much use my cell phone for nearly 99% of my calls.
According to a just released study by Forrester Research, last year about 8% of U.S. households that subscribe to cellphone service had given up their land-line phones, up from 5% in 2004 and 4% in 2003. Certainly that’s a trend that will continue.
