Microsoft is to software patches as Google is to search engines... it is just the way of being. Microsoft will release a total of seven updates as part of its monthly Patch Tuesday program.
One targets a flaw in Windows Media Player, four for Microsoft Windows, one for both Microsoft Windows and Office, and one for Microsoft Office only.
Of the two former sets of updates, the highest severity rating for any of the updates would be critical, and for the latter two important.
Along with the patches, an update to the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software removal tool would be released as well as one high-prority update through Microsoft Update and Windows Software Update Services.
Anyone currently using the Microsoft Windows operating system to pay attention to these patches and get them installed immediately. It could save your PC from outside attackers as well as operating system errors.
