Although the month is almost over, eReader.com has been running a December promotion offering one free (non-public domain) ebook each day. I've always been interested in the way the new electronic media is just beginning to challenge the traditional media that we are used to.

You should be able to take advantage of this (and try it out) as eReader allows you the option to read ebooks on many different platforms (Windows, Mac, Palm OS, PocketPC etc). I've noticed that some of the free offerings have included books that span different genres, from mystery to science fiction. If you don't like what you see one day, check things out the following day and you might find something that is more to your tastes.

One caveat, you will have to create an account to download the free ebooks and if you use a Palm or PocketPC, you will need to download and install the eReader application (luckily there is a free version).
