Ok, this is so odd / original we couldn't resit to put a blurb up about it here on iampowered: the 2006 Worldwide Newton Developer's Conference is scheduled to take place on January 13th - 15th in San Francisco, CA.

Not sure how many of you have seen a Newton... perhaps the first pda / organizer ever, introduced by Apple in 1993 then after various updates and models, discontinued in 1999.

Well, looks like despite its age, the Newton has still quite some audience. The conference website also hosts transcripts and pictures of past editions.

If you're a Newton fan, this is an event you don't want to miss.
