How big is the back-to-paper movement?

We've asked this question before "What device keeps you productive" and in the list of examples,
I mentioned a "Moleskine/Mont blanc Pen combo." Well, if Douglas Johnston's (making a guest-post) commentary over at Communication Nation, is to be believed, more and more of you will be picking pen/paper over the latest palm organizer.
Heresy you say? Let's take a look at some of the finer points in his column. He does mention that in general, a certain percentage of time will be lost to tweaking your productivity system and making sure it will be running as efficiently as possible. I've heard this notion before and it does make some sense. We've all seen people so involved in setting up their PDA todo system, that they don't get as much done as they would have if they simply put pen to paper. Another point he raises is that using non-technology related items like paper or index cards, helps to allow us to slow down and focus.
