FolderShare now free

As part of the company's recent acquisition by Microsoft, FolderShare (a file synchronization technology provider) will now be offering all of its services for free.
According to the company, they are "discontinuing the paid Foldershare services and offering a free version of the service instead, which has many of the capabilities of the previous paid versions."
This may not be great news for customers who paid for FolderShare's $100 per year professional service, since the level of the new free service may well be more akin to the previous $50 per year personal version.
It is unclear is whether Microsoft will try to bring in revenue from FolderShare through advertising or other streams. For now, however, this is your chance to get a great service that was previously $50 a year for absolutely nothing.

This looks like it might turn out to be really useful for a person that is always on the go. Now that FolderShare is free, I wonder how this will affect other similar pay-services like streamload.com.
