The recent company-wide memo by Bill Gates has drawn a fiery response from Salesforce.com CEO
Marc Benioff. In his response to the Gate's Memo, Benioff asserts that Salesforce.com is in a much stronger position than Microsoft in the burgeoning web-services arena. Benioff lashes out, describing Microsoft as a company that's done nothing for businesses (in a 10 year span) besides cloning a slow browser. At this point, Benioff's on a roll, and he only keeps going. He continues by calling Microsoft's upgrade policies "mafiaesque" and a game that ends in frustration for customers.
