Free online backups with Mozy

Mozy is a secure, automatic online backup and archiving service for any Windows PC. It's important to keep in mind that it is only 2 GB of total storage space not 2GB per backup, but that might come in handy when you need those
important financial documents. Drawbacks include the fact that you do need to install their proprietary software and it does only run on Windows computers.
The biggest hurdle Mozy has to overcome seems to be the initial backup. I quote a user from their site “It is so easy to use. It took five hours overnight to do my initial 1.8 G backup, but then the updates almost seem instant.” After the initial copy, backups are incremental, lowering the use of bandwidth and storage. For 2 GB of encrypted storage Mozy gets to send you important “email advertisements for products and services that we [Mozy] think are useful.”
