Yahoo, Google to launch new services

Both Yahoo and Google are major players (50 cent has got nothing on these guys) on the Internet
portal scene, and neither one of them wants to be left out of the ever emerging smart-phone market. It looks like Yahoo and SBC (Parent company of the Cingular network) are tag-teaming to bring a new cellphone to market, it's going to allow Yahoo users to have instant access to their photos, music, e-mail and address book. With all of the services that Yahoo already offers, it's going to be interesting to see how much "convergence" they are going to be able to jam-pack into a Yahoo-enabled cellphone. PhoneScoop has more on the particulars of the phone which is supposed to be a Nokia model with 1.3 Megapixel camera.
So in the other corner we have Google, and they aren't exactly sitting still these heady days. They're now allowing users of certain cellphones, the ability to wirelessly access Google's satellite maps. This is all pretty wild stuff and it looks like it's all aimed at the newer more powerful convergent-device market that no one wants to be left out of.
